Popular Media’s Role in a World on Fire: Panel Discussion with the Editors of the APA Journal Psychology of Popular Media

The editorial team at the APA journal Psychology of Popular Meeting host a lively panel discussion about research into the study of the psychology of popular media during this unprecedented and changing era in history.

The panel will discuss the special focus of this field more broadly, as well as tips for getting your research published. We will also talk about the evolving era in media psychology and how researchers, authors and citizens can respond to the big questions on the day. From zooming with our parents and our child’s teachers, to social distancing’s influence on media choices and habits, to connections with characters, celebrities and more. How are these times relevant to the study of the psychology of popular media?  Join us and contribute to the conversation.

Panelists: Joanne Broder (Outgoing Editor), Karen Shackleford (Incoming Editor), Craig Anderson (Associate Editor),  and Elizabeth Cohen (Associate Editor).

Host: Scott Garner
